Turning Mixed Generations of Residents into a Community. By Bruce Beinfield. As part of a spate of transit-oriented development properties in Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield, there are currently over 1,200 new residential apartments either occupied, available for lease, or under construction. Given that Connecticut is not experiencing net population growth, with all these rental opportunities, the question is: Where will these residents be coming from?
