Ƒ hough the hamlet of Old Greenwich seems plucked from the pages of “Our Town,” there’s a distinctly European accent to its American charm. The little-itty-bit of a village, with Sound Beach Avenue serving as its “Main Street,” is dotted with charming shops and small businesses, leading toward the town beach. A jewel among them is the decidedly European-style café, Sweet Pea’s. Owners Rafael and Katja Pita met in Paris during their college days, so it’s no surprise that the sidewalk patio, the casually-eclectic interior, and a glass case brimming with glossy and sugar-sprinkled confections would be reminiscent of the ubiquitous street-side cafes that beckon in every hill-town of the French countryside.
